Class Styles
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow links asana (posture) and pranayama (breath) with special awareness. My classes are slow and steady, building resilience and space in the body and mind. I like to weave in meditation and philosophy too
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a meditative practice, staying in postures for 3-5 min or more. Stillness, attention and support from lots of props is encouraged. Yin helps to improve the health of your fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds your organs and joints
Morning Foundations
Join me for 45-60 minutes of flowing asana movement, breath and mediation to build the foundations of your day. Everyone welcome
Pregnancy Yoga
Specifically for pregnant people! Build strength and confidence for your pregnancy and birth, release tension and find relaxation, and connect with yourself and your baby. You might meet some like-minded people to support you now and in the future
Bubs and Me Yoga
For parents, caregivers and little ones. We’ll slowly build strength in your body and pelvic floor, relax and reinvigorate, connect with yourself and bond with your baby. All with the added bonus of meeting other parents, caregivers and babies too
Gentle Hatha
Yoga with a focus on gentle asanas (postures), pranayama (breath), improving mobility, flexibility and strength, inner reflection and relaxation. My classes are slow and steady, building resilience and space in the body and mind. Beginners always welcome
What to expect from a yoga class with me
My general teaching style is based on vinyasa yoga, but I am inspired everyday by different ideas and movement practices. I like to adapt the class depending on the students in front of me, from strength-building to creative flows to relaxation and restoration. I believe in offering options to modify your practice; we are all unique, and your body and mind might need different things on different days.
I love to connect with students. I spent many years practising next to the same people every morning without knowing their names, so I now strive to always say hello and encourage you to do the same. Let’s build relationships with each other and create a community together.
It is important to me that my classes are sensitive and considered, so I have completed teacher training units in trauma-informed yoga, accessibility and inclusion. I am always thinking about language because the words we use matter (and I love reading and writing!). However, I am always learning and would love to receive feedback if my intention and practice have not aligned.
