Can you feel it?

Recently I started taking some more videos and photos of me practising to use for ‘content’ (groan… but I am coming around to the fact that marketing is one thing you need to do if you want to grow a little business!)

I always find it so interesting to watch videos or see photos of me practising yoga

I rarely take them, and don't love using mirrors when I practice because I find they take me out of my body and into my head

I start critiquing... that knee could be straighter, that leg is too high... Or is that as straight as my knee gets?And does it matter?

Yes, there is a particular shape we might be aiming for and we want to do it safely, and over time we will tweak and make adjustments as our practise deepens

But, much more importantly... How does it feel?

Pictures and videos can't explain what's going on in our heads or bodies. How it feels to create space, to feel energy moving within, find length, engage muscles, breathe, bring the mind back to the present moment

I would much rather you connected with how a posture feels in your body, rather than how it looks
